Suspicious Container Found in Kennett Township

On the morning of Tuesday May 18th, 2010 the Kennett Fire Company was alerted to the South Ridge Development in Kennett Township for a suspicious bottle that was found in the middle of the roadway. Deputy 24 arrived on scene and requested The Chester County Fire Marshal's Office. It was determined that the bottle was not to be handled by fire department personal and The Pennsylvania State Police Hazardous Device and Explosive Section was requested. The bottle was determined not dangerous by State Police experts and recovered. The incident is under investigation. Pictures by Doug Rivell.
